MixIt is a cocktail discovery app. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights. We are committed to keeping your information private.

Age Restriction

MixIt is intended exclusively for users who are of legal drinking age in their country or jurisdiction. By using this app, you confirm that you meet the legal age requirement for alcohol consumption where you reside. This app is not directed at minors.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us:

Your saved favorite cocktails
Your bar inventory (ingredients you have selected)
App usage counters (number of favorites added, number of app launches) — used locally only to determine when to show the Pro upgrade prompt
Your preferences (dark mode setting, measurement unit preference)
Cocktail content cache for offline use (automatically cleared after 24 hours and when the app is uninstalled)
Pro subscription status and activation date

None of this data is linked to your identity or shared with us or any third party.

Data Sent Over the Network

When you use the app, the following requests are made:

Cocktail database requests — search queries (cocktail names, ingredient names) are sent as URL parameters to our cocktail API server to retrieve recipes and results. No personal information is included in these requests.
Ingredient images — images of ingredients are loaded from thecocktaildb.com, a public cocktail database. This is a standard image request; no personal data is sent.

In-App Purchases

MixIt offers an optional Pro subscription purchased through Google Play. All payment processing, billing, and transaction data are handled entirely by Google. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

No user accounts or registration — MixIt requires no sign-in
No location data
No device identifiers or advertising IDs
No analytics or usage telemetry (no Firebase, Mixpanel, or similar services)
No crash reports sent to external services

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only external services the app communicates with are our own cocktail API, thecocktaildb.com for ingredient images, and Google Play for in-app purchases — as described above.

Data Retention

All data stored by MixIt lives on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the app. We do not retain any data on our servers that is tied to you personally.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
